Mandeville, LA – Today, Chris Masingill, CEO of St. Tammany Corporation and Cece Boudreaux, President of Northshore Society for Human Resource Management (NSHRM), announce its partnership to facilitate Legal Updates and HR Best Practices Surrounding COVID-19 – a virtual technical assistance workshop hosted by St. Tammany Corporation and Northshore SHRM.

As employers are facing unprecedented challenges navigating COVID-19, this one-hour webinar is designed to discuss practical and lawful ways to address today's workplace realities. Topics include recently passed legislation – Families First Coronavirus Response Act and Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) – and their effect on employers, as well as the new I-9 and reminders regarding the WARN Act.

Legal Updates and HR Best Practices Surrounding COVID-19 will be facilitated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7; Wednesday, March 8; and Thursday, March 9 via the Zoom platform.

“These two pieces of legislation are imperative to the vitality of our local businesses,” says Chris Masingill, St. Tammany Corporation CEO. “We are thrilled to partner with Northshore SHRM to provide guidance directly from subject matter experts on employment law implications to the St. Tammany business community. Businesses, families and communities remain our TOP priority, so we are encouraging Northshore business owners to register now to have access to information that can really benefit them during this unprecedented time of uncertainty.”

"We are proud of our partnership with St. Tammany Corporation,” stated Cece Boudreaux, President of Northshore SHRM, “and are here to help as many Northshore businesses both small and large with up to date resources."
