Our speaker for the April chapter meeting is Ms. Tess Dooley.

This seminar will refresh HR professionals’ knowledge of Health Care Reform's employer mandate and associated penalties. We will cover the newly issued final regulations and its impact on the employer mandate, certain businesses, counting full-time employees, and transitional reliefs. In addition, we will discuss the status of mandated benefit requirements and ACA taxes and fees.

Tess Dooley joined USI Southwest in October 2012 as in-house ERISA Counsel, focused on helping our benefits division and our clients stay compliant with requirements of various benefits laws.  Before joining USI, she worked as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 Corporation, with a primary focus in employee benefits law, during her five year tenure with the Corporation.  She was in private practice for three years prior to going in-house. She is a member of the State Bar of Arkansas and American Bar Association.  She has served in various leadership roles for the Arkansas Bar Association including the Board of Governors, Young Lawyers Executive Council, and co-chair of the Membership Development Committee.  She is currently a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and serves on the Employment and Labor Law, Health Law and Compliance & Ethics committees, she is also a member of DallasHR.
